Wedding transportation FAQs
How booking works, what the quote covers and what happens on the day.
Booking
How far ahead should we book our wedding limo service?
Most couples book 6 to 12 months ahead, and earlier for Saturdays in spring and fall, when DC, Virginia and Maryland weddings cluster. Send your date now: we confirm what is available before anything is reserved.
What information do you need for a quote?
The date, the first pickup address, the ceremony and reception venues, roughly how many people ride in each vehicle and the hours you expect. If you are unsure about vehicles or hours, leave them blank and we suggest options from your timeline.
Is the quote the final price?
The quote is itemized: vehicle, hours, gratuity, and any tolls, parking or décor. If your plan changes before the wedding, for example more guests or another stop, we send a revised quote before anything changes.
How is a booking confirmed?
A booking is confirmed when you accept the written quote and pay the deposit stated on it. You then receive a confirmation with the vehicle, the date and the reserved hours.
Deposits, payments and cancellations
How much is the deposit?
The deposit amount and when the balance is due are written on your quote before you book, so you know both figures in advance.
What if we need to cancel or change the date?
The cancellation and date-change terms for your booking are written on the quote and in the booking agreement. See our cancellation policy page for how these terms work, and ask us before you book if anything is unclear.
Is gratuity included?
Your quote states whether a chauffeur gratuity is included or added, and how much, so it is never a surprise on the day.
On the wedding day
How many hours do we need?
It depends on the plan. A ceremony-to-reception run is short, while a day that covers getting ready, the ceremony, photos at the monuments and the reception entrance usually needs several hours. We build the hours from your timeline, and most vehicles have a minimum on wedding dates.
What happens if the schedule runs late?
Weddings rarely run exactly to the minute. Your quote says how extra time is handled, and the chauffeur stays in touch with your planner or a named contact so changes are made on the day.
When does the chauffeur arrive?
The vehicle is scheduled to arrive before the first pickup time on your run sheet. Chauffeur and vehicle details are sent before the day so your planner or a family member knows who to expect.
Who should the chauffeur contact on the day?
Name a planner, coordinator or family member on your run sheet. The couple should not have to answer the phone on their wedding day.
What happens if it rains or snows?
Weather changes the timing, not the plan: we add travel time and plan covered drop-off points where the venue has them. Umbrellas and outdoor photo stops are worth discussing when you build the timeline.
Décor, drinks and extras
Can the car be decorated?
Tell us what you have in mind when you request the quote, for example a red carpet arrival or a "Just Married" sign. What we can provide, and anything you bring yourself, is written on the quote so there are no surprises on the day.
Can we have champagne in the limo?
Rules depend on the vehicle and on Washington DC, Virginia or Maryland law, and the policy is written on your quote. Alcohol is only for guests 21 and older.
Can we bring our own decorations?
Usually yes, as long as they do not damage the vehicle and do not block the driver’s view. Tell us what you plan to bring so it is written on the quote.
Can we add photo stops?
Yes. Photo stops at the monuments, the Georgetown waterfront or a garden are planned into the route, with the time at each stop written into the schedule.
Guests and shuttles
Do you provide shuttles for our wedding guests?
Yes. Guest shuttles run between hotel room blocks, the ceremony and the reception on a timed loop, with the last run set before the evening ends. We size the vehicle to the guest count.
How many shuttle loops will our guests need?
It depends on the guest count, the vehicle size and the distance between the hotel and the venue. We work out the loops from those three numbers and set the last return time with you.
Can you collect guests from the airport?
For destination weddings we can plan arrivals from Reagan National (DCA), Dulles (IAD) and BWI as part of the wedding booking. Add the flight details in the notes of your quote request.
Still have a question? Ask it with your quote.
A written quote with the vehicles, the hours and every cost listed. No payment to ask.
