What we plan for every venue
- The arrival point. Where the couple steps out for the photographer, and where guests are dropped if that is somewhere else.
- Waiting and parking. Downtown hotels and cathedrals often have limited curb space, so the waiting spot is agreed in advance.
- Timing between venues. Ceremony and reception at different places means a timed transfer with buffer for traffic.
- The last departure. When the venue closes and when the last guest shuttle leaves.
Questions to ask your venue about transportation
- Where do cars and buses stop to drop off the couple and the guests, and is it the same place?
- Is there a length or height limit on the driveway, gate or loading zone?
- Can a vehicle wait on site during the ceremony and reception, or must it wait nearby?
- What time must the last guest leave, and where should the final shuttle load?
- Are there other events at the venue that day that change traffic or access?
